How to cook on soapstone and lava stone: advice on cooking with natural stones such as soapstone and lava stone. Differences and advice on use.

Both the lava stone and the soapstone must be washed thoroughly in salted water and then rinsed under running water. Once dried, sprinkle the surface with olive oil. Leave the surfaces oiled for at least 24 hours. After this interval, remove the excess oil with an absorbent cloth.
